Baccarat buyers jockey for positioning. Sale process starts in April
The auction of French crystal marker Baccarat has finally picked up steam after months of delay with Paris-listed drinks group Remy Cointreau and several US and French private investors among the potential bidders, according to sources with first-hand knowledge of the matter. The official sale process should start in April as the company’s record annual results will only be closed in March. “There is a lot of interest from many types of people and from many different countries,” one person close to the process said. “We are now in the soft pre-marketing phase. The formal information memo should be ready in April.”
