Givenchy
A new round of musical chairs at megabrands is afoot. As Kering tries to figure out who’s going to replace Alessandro Michele at Gucci following his abrupt departure last month, another brand weighing options about its next designer is Givenchy. The work of Matthew Williams for Givenchy has not proved to be a smashing success. The young designer could be on his way out in the first half of next year as his contract ends, Miss Tweed has learned. One credible name in the hat to replace him is Julien Dossena. “I know that Dossena is in advanced talks with Givenchy,” one industry source said. The 40-year-old French designer is said to be exiting Paco Rabanne after more than a decade at the Puig-owned brand.
