Prada Group has hired a senior Christian Dior Couture executive to become CEO of the Prada brand and help it meet its target of doubling in size in the medium to longer term, Miss Tweedhas learned. The recruitment is part of Prada Group Co-CEO Patrizio Bertelli’s strategy to build a team of experienced managers who can help the brand expand and support his son Lorenzo when he succeeds him in a few years. Another Prada Group target is to obtain a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange, sources with first-hand knowledge of the matter have said. The Italian fashion group has said in the past that that it would be seeking a secondary listing in Milan, but London actually makes more sense, they said. Building a presence in the City would help attract more interest from US and European fund managers than if it was listed on the Borsa Italiana.
