Cette semaine, le président de Richemont, propriétaire de Cartier, a repoussé une tentative du fonds activiste Bluebell Capital Partners visant à modifier la gouvernance et la stratégie du groupe suisse et à nommer un ancien cadre de LVMH à son conseil d'administration.
Comme Miss Tweed l'avait prédit en juillet quand la campagne de Bluebell a été rendue publique, Johann Rupert n’a laissé personne lui dicter comment son groupe devait être dirigé et Bluebell n'a pas convaincu. Lors de l'assemblée générale annuelle du groupe mercredi, les actionnaires ont rejeté sa proposition de modification de la gouvernance et la nomination au conseil de Francesco Trapani, ex-directeur général de Bulgari et ancien responsable de la division montres et joaillerie de LVMH.
