L'action LVMH a atteint son plus haut niveau historique jeudi, alors que des manifestants contre la réforme des retraites prenaient d'assaut son siège, à Paris. La France connaît depuis plusieurs mois des grèves et des manifestations contre cette réforme, finalement promulguée vendredi par le président Emmanuel Macron.
LVMH est un symbole de l'élite et de l'establishment français et son PDG, Bernard Arnault, est actuellement la personne la plus riche du monde, avec une fortune estimée à 198 milliards de dollars par Bloomberg. En pénétrant dans le siège, des manifestants ont scandé « si vous avez besoin d'argent pour financer les retraites, prenez-le à des milliardaires comme Bernard Arnault », ont rapporté des médias français. « C'était très violent », a témoigné un salarié, expliquant que des agents de sécurité avaient été blessés.
