Cette semaine, le groupe britannique Frasers, spécialisé dans la distribution, s’est lancé dans la plus grande opération de son histoire en faisant une offre publique d’achat sur Hugo Boss qui valorise la maison de mode allemande à 2,7 milliards d’euros.
L'offre à 38 euros par action, présentée mercredi, représente une prime de 4 % sur le cours de bourse précédant l’annonce. Plusieurs fonds d'investissement et analystes ont estimé que ce prix est trop bas. Les actionnaires risquent de la rejeter afin de contraindre Frasers à proposer une offre plus élevée. Le cours de l'action a atteint 40 € jeudi.
Il est intéressant de noter qu’aucun groupe de luxe, aucune société de capital-investissement, spécialisé dans la mode, n’a songé à une démarche similaire. Tout simplement parce que Frasers occupe une position différente.
