Fendi a enfin annoncé la nomination de Maria Grazia Chiuri au poste de directrice de la création du prêt-à-porter et de la haute couture, attendue depuis des mois par les initiés. Elle remplace Silvia Venturini Fendi, petite fille des fondateurs de la maison, qui tire sa révérence. Spécialisée dans les accessoires et le prêt-à-porter homme, Silvia Venturini a fait ses armes au côté de Karl Lagerfeld, qui dirigea la création de Fendi de 1965 à sa mort en 2019.
Le « Kaiser » était l’un des plus grands génies de la mode. Son talent et sa vision ont porté Fendi et Chanel au firmament et sa succession n’a pas été évidente. Son successeur chez Fendi, Kim Jones, a quitté la maison italienne l’an dernier. Sa vision n’a pas séduit les clientes.
