Dior’s new creative director, Jonathan Anderson, will present his first collection for Dior Homme on Friday. It’s THE event everybody who’s anybody in fashion is waiting for. Dior has been losing steam for more than two years, and the creative and managerial transition has been complicated. The house needs to bounce back quickly to return to the forefront of creativity and inspire fashionistas to return to its boutiques. Dior is the second most important house in the LVMH group – and the leader, Louis Vuitton, has also been hit by the global slowdown in luxury goods sales, as Miss Tweed reported on June 15.
