The Cannes Film Festival is in full swing with parties day and night and filmmakers and actors vying for the top prizes. On the red carpet, there is also fierce competition among fashion and jewelry brands who dress and adorn the festival’s participants to produce photos and videos that will travel around the world and capture the imagination of millions of people.
This year, Messika has aptly elbowed its way into the tightly knit club of traditional Cannes jewelry sponsors such as Cartier, Boucheron and Chopard. Many celebrities posed wearing Messika’s creations including Angela Bassett, who features in the latest Mission: Impossible blockbuster. This week, the American actress walked the red carpet at the film’s premiere wearing Messika’s bulky white-gold Midnight Sun high jewelry necklace with matching earrings and bracelet.
