LISBONNE – L’éviction de José Neves de Farfetch marque la fin d'une ère. C’est aussi un drame pour le Portugal, son pays natal où travaillent la majorité des salariés de la société, dont une part importante se prépare à être licenciée.
Annoncé jeudi, le départ de José Neves fait suite à l’acquisition de Farfetch par Coupang, le distributeur en ligne coréen qu’il a appelé au secours pour éviter la faillite. La moitié des dirigeants de Farfetch ont déjà claqué la porte et les autres devraient les suivre dans les semaines ou les mois qui viennent, affirment plusieurs sources proches de l’entreprise. José Neves conserve quant à lui un rôle de conseiller auprès de Coupang.
