Kering discreetly tests investors’ appetite for its watch brands
Gucci owner Kering is mulling a sale of its underperforming watch brands Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin, according to several industry sources. Already, the group has discreetly tested investors’ appetite. Earlier this year, Kering approached several potential buyers, including Swiss luxury group Richemont and a private Italian investor. Both walked away, the sources said.
