Gruppo Florence, le groupe de fournisseurs de produits de luxe soutenu par Francesco Trapani, ancien patron de Bulgari, compte s'introduire en Bourse et doubler son chiffre d'affaires dans quelques années pour atteindre plus d’un milliard d'euros. L’entreprise basée à Florence et Milan fait partie d’une poignée d'acteurs italiens qui achètent des fournisseurs à une vitesse record et deviennent de plus de plus influents dans l'écosystème du luxe et de la mode.
La stratégie est claire : les maisons se sont lancées dans une course aux armements pour sécuriser leurs chaînes d'approvisionnement et investir dans des fournisseurs haut de gamme. En France, Hermès, Chanel et Louis Vuitton ont intégré des dizaines de fournisseurs au cours des trente dernières années. Petit à petit, les centaines de fournisseurs de petite et moyenne taille migrent vers des agrégateurs comme Gruppo Florence ou se font racheter par les maisons.
