LVMH is putting its house in order. After decades of strong growth, the world’s biggest luxury group is battling a severe downturn. When it publishes second-quarter sales at the end of the month, analysts expect an even steeper decline than during the first three months of the year.
Investors believe that LVMH is weighing options regarding certain assets. These include floating its beauty retailer Sephora, merging its struggling Moët Hennessy arm with a peer to mutualize costs or selling certain underperforming fashion and beauty brands.
