Richemont et Farfetch s’approchent d'un accord sur le détaillant de mode en ligne YOOX-Net-A-Porter (YNAP), ont déclaré des sources proches des deux sociétés à Miss Tweed. Le groupe suisse, propriétaire de Cartier, obtiendrait une petite participation dans la plateforme de luxe Farfetch et lui céderait YNAP en échange.
L'offensive menée cette semaine par le fonds activiste Bluebell Capital Partners pour modifier la gouvernance de Richemont pourrait accélérer les négociations, ont ajouté les sources. Bluebell presse Richemont de vendre certaines activités déficitaires comme YNAP. Le 20 juillet, il a mis en cause l'autorité du président de Richemont, Johann Rupert, et son contrôle sur le groupe, en demandant une modification de ses statuts. Bluebell souhaite en outre que Francesco Trapani, ancien dirigeant de LVMH et ex-PDG de Bulgari, rejoigne le conseil d'administration de Richemont. Il est davantage probable que Johann Rupert s’accorde avec Farfetch pour lui vendre YNAP qu’il accepte de faire entrer Francesco Trapani au conseil d'administration, ont déclaré plusieurs sources proches du dossier.
