Despite the war in Ukraine, the resurgence of Covid-19 cases in China and macro-economic concerns, the watch industry is enjoying an unprecedented boom.
There are shortages of staff, components and machines as many brands and suppliers were not prepared for the current post-pandemic surge in sales. “We are stunned by this rebound,” Julien Tornare, CEO of Zenith luxury watch brand part of LVMH, told Miss Tweed in an interview at a trade fair in Geneva that ended on Friday. “But we have to see how long it lasts.”
