Burkhart Grund, Chief Financial Officer of Cartier owner Richemont, is one of Switzerland’s best-paid executives, the group’s annual report published this month showed. The 57-year-old executive pocketed 12.9 million Swiss francs this year, a 52 percent pay increase from the 8.53 million Swiss francs he received the previous year. Richemont said the raise “recognises his exceptional performance over a number of years which the [remuneration] committee considered had not been properly reflected in previous remuneration awards”.
