Beauty Brands Global, a new company based in Dubai and backed by entrepreneur Dilesh Mehta, has acquired the French eco-friendly make-up brand La bouche rouge, founded by a former L’Oréal executive. Placed in receivership by the Paris Commercial Court in July, La bouche rouge was the first in 2017 to offer refills for lipstick, contained in an elegant leather case. However, its price was too high at more than €100, the company botched its entry into China and it spent its newly raised funds too quickly.
