As time ticks down towards Geneva Watch Days - the annual trade show for small watchmakers and a few big ones like Breitling and Bulgari that starts on August 30 - people are asking themselves the same questions: what kind of watch do customers want to buy these days? Has the pandemic influenced desires and aspirations? Demand for high-end watches has recovered as demonstrated by the strong rebound published by major watchmaking groups such as Richemont. However, demand has not recovered for every type of luxury watch.
